Guitar Teacher Position Available
We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher to join our guitar school!
- Teaching Days Available - Monday (3-9pm), Friday (2-8pm), Saturday (9:30am-5pm).
- We are a small, private school - focusing on teaching mostly beginners and intermediate students in mostly private lessons (some groups of 2).
- Our curriculum focuses on Pop & Rock music, teaching chords & picking (through both Guitar Tab & Sight Reading), and advancing into other areas such as fingerpicking, power chords, barre chords and improvising.
- We teach kids as young as 5, through to adults in their 70s. The majority of our students start with us as absolute beginners, with a mix of intermediate students, and a handful of advanced students as well.
- We're looking for a teacher to take on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays - with a relatively full schedule of students ready to go. The Friday and Saturdays are required, but we may be flexible on Monday being swapped to another day if needed for the right candidate.
- Enthusiasm, patience and communication skills to be able to teach a large range of ages and abilities is preferred over pure guitar ability, with music qualifications such as a TAFE or Bachelor a bonus, but not a requirement. Past teaching experience will also be a head-start, but not an absolute must.
- Confidence in the above mentioned guitar skills, a reliable laptop, and reliable communication both off and online are all required.
- A full curriculum of material is provided to teach all of our beginners and into the early stages of advanced students, with full training and guidance provided before starting (looking to start training the week of May 5, teaching from May 12).
